Wonder if there is any update regarding the compatibility for Toliss A319/A320?

Thanks,

Syberen

ToLiss A319 is working since quite a while. However not all hardware is supported. ToLiss has very limited data interface and we can't handle complete functionality. FF is much better aircraft and fully supported by hardware.

As there is not enough data available to use hardware with ToLiss A319/A321, we can't move further with interfacing. What is working now - this is max we could do.

Hi Marcin,
is there a list of what is available? We just implemented a set of panels (Overhead, MIP, Pedestal) as interactive HTML pages to run on large touchscreens and from what I learned only very few functions/items are not possible to interact with. On the Overhead these are only the data display and keypad on the ADIRS panel. On the pedestal the RMPs and VOICE panels are working as far as X-Plane supports the different systems (only VHF1 and 2 on the RMP and VHF/VOR/ADF and MKR on the VOICE panel). But apart from that, every single light and switch is accessible from the outside. Especially the FCU and EFIS panel is fully working, even the independent QNH settings cause a BARO DISCREPANCY when set differently.
Here is a picture of what we have implemented:

and of the complete sim (maybe you recognize the glare wing panels:D )

Hi Helge
For now we have problem with managed/controlled mode in FCU. There is no data to read these... If you have dataRefs for that, please share.

Hi Marcin,
FCU is a little bit more tricky, as it needs some logic. While the dots (e.g. "[FCU] SPD DOT" ) are driven by "AirbusFBW/<ALT/HDG/SPD>managed" the digits (e.g. "[FCU] SPD" ) show either dashes ("---" ) if "AirbusFBW/<SPD/HDG/VS>dashed" equals 1 or the value in "sim/cockpit/autopilot/airspeed", "sim/cockpit/autopilot/heading_mag", "sim/cockpit/autopilot/altitude" and "sim/cockpit/autopilot/vertical_velocity". Format of the output depends speed/mach mode ("sim/cockpit/autopilot/airspeed_is_mach" ) and heading/track mode ("AirbusFBW/HDGTRKmode" ) which also changes the increments of the speed and vertical speed dial.
But here is what I have regarding the FCU and which I used to connect our hardware to X-Plane:

The new ToLiss plugin supports "pop-out" windows for nearly all windows. On the pictures above the X-Plane window itself is at minimum size to gain higher fps while PFDs, NDs, ECAM, SD, ISIS and ToLiss control screen are popped and placed to their correct position. The HTML overlay has transparent areas to make the displays behind visible. With Linux and the KDE display manager it is very easy to move, resize and manipulate in other ways depending on e.g. the window name. This makes it very easy to place e.g. "PFD Cpt" always at the same position, size, without border and fixed to its position. Although the MCDU can be also popped out I would suggest to use an Raspberry Pi to drive the VGA display and get the data to display directly via network from the sim. Above its an HTML5 page that displays the text in the proper font and size.

We have been using Air Manager to interface with Toliss and managed to have all the functions of FCU implemented. For managed/controlled mode here is a exclusive list:

1. Speed managed dataref = "AirbusFBW/SPDmanaged"
2. Heading managed dataref = "AirbusFBW/HDGmanaged"
3. Altitude managed dataref = "AirbusFBW/ALTmanaged"

I believe this concurs with Mr. Lenz

Marcin, we are now completing the whole cockpit interfacing under Windows environment and Air Manager. If you need an exclusive list of datarefs used feel free to message me.

P.S. A nicely done Procedural Trainer you have Mr. Lenz. I hope we can exchange some ideas as we are building a similar setup as you do.
